Seagate 250GB ST31000322CS (5VX1YGAG)

Beberapa hari yang lalu hardisk TOSHIBA 1TB ku mati. Apalagi keuangan saya lagi tipis, jadi terpaksa beli hardisk yang murahan dulu. Yang penting PC bisa digunakan dulu, nanti kalo ada rezeki lebih tinggal beli lagi yang agak besar kapasitasnya. Pilihan jatuh pada hardisk SEAGATE 250 GB. Alasannya karena harganya cukup murah, cuma Rp 110.000.


Di awal tahun 2019 ini, biasanya harga segitu cuman dapet antara 160 - 250 GB aja. Pengennya sih yang 2TB atau minimal yang 1TB lah seperti hardisk sebelumnya, tapi apa daya keuangan lagi tipis banget. Hardisk ini dipesan pada tanggal 12 Januari dan sampai dua hari kemudian tanggal 14 Januari 2019, sangat cepat responnya baik penjual maupun kurirnya terimakasih J&T.

Installation Summary
For easy installation use Seagate's DiscWizard™sofware. available at www.seagate.com/support. Always backup critical data before making changes.
Serial ATA controllers and system BIOS have several setup choices. See your controller of system documentation for specific options and any custom device drivers.
  1. Mount the drive using two screws per side. Do not over tighten the screws.
  2. Attach the cables. The data interface and power cables are keyed.
  3. Run your computer BIOS/system setup program. Enable the new drive and set the options.
  4. Prepare the drive for use with your Operating System. See your OS Help instructions for details. Be careful to select the correct drive. Windows Vista or XP prepares the drive during installation. If this is a second drive, then Windows Disk Management can be used to prepare the drive. Use the DiskWizard software to copy data from old drive to a new drive.
Go to www.seagate.com/support and select installation for additional instructions and illustrations. Macintosh uses Disk Utility in the utilities folder.

Pada bagian sisi atas terdapat nomor seri 5VX1YGAG namun saya bingung kok nomornya beda dengan S/N: 5VX38ZT1 yang ada di bagian punggung hardisk. Sedangkan jika dilihat menggunakan software CrystalDiskInfo, Serial Numbernya adalah yang diatas: 5VX1YGAG.


Pada BIOS ditampilkan:
SATA1 : ST31000322CS (230.7GB)


Saya menggunakan hardisk ini sebagai hardisk utama untuk storage system operasi Windows 10. Saya buat dua partisi: C dan D masing masing 80 GB dan 134 GB. Drive C digunakan untuk menyimpan file system, sedangkan drive D untuk menyimpan file-file dokumen dan games.



EDIT:
Kemarin sekitar tanggal 19 April 2019, hardisk ini mati dan gak kedetek di BIOS. Sebelumnya ada suara kletek-kletek. Mungkin itu pertanda hardisk ini bakalan modar, kecewa saya hardisk cuma bisa kuat 3 bulan. T_T
